Things to Know About Paid to Click

What are Paid to Click or Get Paid To Websites?

These are websites where you're paid a small sum, usually 1-5 cents per click, to read emails, view website advertisements, respond to offers, or take short surveys.

Each time you click on a new link to get paid, you have to keep that particular webpage open for at least 30 seconds, and you can only click on one link at a time.

Are Paid to Click Sites worth it?

They can be. It's very minimal effort, you can do these while concentrating on other things when you're online. You don't make much per click and it may take a while to reach the payout threshold. Once you do, though, it is nice to get the extra money when you might need it.

How much can I make using PTC sites?

Depending on what the payout minimum is, it can be anywhere from $10-$15 a month. It's pretty low, but it's a few more bucks than you had already.

Most of the PTC sites offer referral incentives. You earn a percentage of what your referrals earn and that can add up quickly.

Do I have to buy anything or provide my credit card information?

As with any site that you can make money with, NEVER provide your credit card information! You're visiting these websites because you want to make money, not lose it.

You also don't have to buy anything. Some sites say you will make more if you buy products through one of their sponsor websites, but I say be cautious about it if you do.

Me personally, I wouldn't bother with it. It may take longer to accumulate money by just doing clicks, but I'm not here to spend money, I'm here to make it.

How do I get paid when I reach the minimum?

Most PTC websites pay through either PayPal or AlertPay. Each has it's own timeframe on when you will receive your money, but it's usually within a couple of weeks.

What happens if I don't get credit for a click or I don't receive my money?

You can email the webmaster for that site and try to work with them. In the case that you get no reply or you're told that you won't be paid, all you can really do is contact the BBB and file a complaint.

This will really only be a figurative slap on the wrist to that website, but if enough complaints are filed against it, no one will want to sponsor them and they could ultimately have to shut down.

Or, submit a complaint with GPTBoycott.

How do I know if a PTC website is legitimate?

It's much harder to differentiate between legitimate and scam PTC sites than it is for survey sites. Many PTC sites don't have professional affiliations giving their endorsment.

Essentially it's a trial and error way of looking at it. Try some out for a while and see if you get paid. If, in the end, you don't get your money, you really didn't sacrifice anything to begin with.

You can also search for a particular site using Google to see what kind of comments others have posted about them. You can then make up your mind based on that information.

I click on ads almost everyday. Will this have any effect on my computer?

It can. Many sites may use tracking cookies and those can be placed on your computer. These are used to track your online usage and send you spam emails based on your interests in the hopes that you might buy something.

It's a good idea to clear out your cookies and clean your Internet cache every time after you use PTC sites, just in case.
